This depends on whether you plan to do level 2 charging at home, and also if you need rewiring. Some garages can manage a 220 or 240 plug in. I made do with a level 1 plug at home because I had access to free level 2 at work some of the time.

I had an EV that I bought used. Over the eight plus years I had it, it required virtually no repairs. Tires, yes. Brake pads, yes. But none of the crap like oil changes or transmission or those sorts of pricy things.
