yes, i've been awake since 7am. i meant to sleep in today but the air mattress is putting my arms to sleep and i went to bed early anyway. it's fine.

bc we were understaffed for like 2 years, i am constantly at pto cap and have a hard time getting back under. so i'm always rolling around with a month of pto. so yes, i took an entire week off to move.

This should be illegal but policitians have spent a decade arguing about the dumbest things instead of enacting new rules to curtail a looming tech dystopia.

plan for today is unload the crap that's in my car, return this bed, go by the old place to pick up some more crap, come back in time to rinse off and go to a hair appointment so i can feel human again. i'm so. so. glad i took this entire week off.

i could wrangle with support from a company about the busted bed frame or i could order a new and better one from amazon to be delivered tomorrow and return this to home despot. gee let me think which is less hassle and stress.

there was a lot of little stuff that would have been a mess. not quite 15' worth of truckload so I figured I'd get it later. and if I do some unpacking first I'll have a better time putting shit away as I bring it over.

I'm gonna run back to the other apartment tomorrow to grab some of the little stuff that's left but there's probably another two carloads after that and cleaning to do. I think I'll wait to get the last bits and clean until next weekend tho bc I want to unpack while I have time this week.

This composition had eluded me for nearly a decade, but yesterday I was finally able to capture it. A train rolled through just as the Duquesne Incline was crossing over the tracks in #Pittsburgh, creating a picture perfect winter scene. It was worth the hours and hours I've waited over the years.

current status: taking an Uber back to the old place to get the full truck after dropping my car off at the new place. trying to make the round trip in an hour to meet the movers at 3-3:30. then I won't need to go back to the old place until tomorrow.

normally I wouldn't care about price but this isn't a comp'd move and I currently have 2500 in car repairs to pay off.

okay. on the way to pick up a truck. movers so far are behaving but idk what "have patience with the job" means. kind of already regretting my decision to unload by myself but it is cheaper.
