Watching college football players get calls from nfl teams, then celebrating with their families is my favorite thing about the draft. So much pure happiness and joy. A celebration of a little community who all invested in a person, then they all get to share in the joy. It’s the best.

but I deeply resent the Cub Scout structure that made it nearly impossible for me to keep up with my peers, punctuated by the pine wood derby. I was glad when the church left bsa and we are better off without them.

Appreciate your story. Mine was similar. My father died when I was young and my mom didn’t re-marry. For the most part I didn’t feel left out or less than, except when it came to cub scouts and the ole “father son” camp out. It’s no one’s fault,

Me too. I try to be supportive of my fellow cyclists - but I feel a significant proportion of bike-salmon are just too lazy to bother. Which angers me.

I’m working in one of the migrant shelters that Denver has set up for refugees, and it makes me incredibly proud of our city. From my vantage point, the conditions are safe, welcoming, and comfortable. I can’t imagine what they’ve suffered through to get here.
