In total, we rounded up and returned 14 salvageable shopping carts. Thanks to the whole crew from @fnbjacksonville who joined us! Our next cleanups will be 12/14 and 12/28—stay tuned. Nominate an area for cleanup at the link in our profile.

Thanks to everyone who came out to our cleanup today! Volunteers from across town hit a canal in need of TLC between the library and the Walmart on 103rd. Our team dug out sunken shopping carts, abandoned traps, and 15 bags of trash.

Jacksonville DSA will be attending as an organization and if you’re a Jax DSA member, we’ll cover your registration fee!

Hundreds showed out to the Duval County Courthouse last week to reject despair and embrace action. We have been so excited to meet so many new DSA members and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for our chapter!

We support the UNF Students for a Democratic Society’s demands for transparency - UNF must DISCLOSE university investments, DIVEST from Israel and weapons manufacturers, and DEFEND its students from state repression!

Shoutout to UNF Students for a Democratic Society for taking a stand against UNF’s Board of Trustees, who voted today to change UNF’s code of conduct to effectively ban most forms of peaceful protest involving UNF students. Shame.
