It is not an indicator of a civilized society that the military deposes an elected president. It is a sign of an unstable society. Once the military has taken charge once, it becomes likely that it will do so again.

You should also know that a lot of celebrity “drama” is actually a multi-billion dollar industry of shaming and humiliating public figures for upsetting the status quo, whether that’s cutting off your parents or a sexual harassment lawsuit against your boss. It’s conservative ideology at its core.

I remember an older woman expressing her anger at Megan Markle and wondering why she could possibly care at all. It really made me think less of her…and we literally met volunteering at a food pantry!
