When you get a good look at the wing like this, you can tell that it's a hatch year bird (less than a year old). Beyond the first few trees the rest of the forest is completely obscured by fog. Thankfully I already know the way though here. It would be very easy to get lost on a day like that.

One of the foggiest days we've seen. Very little visibility with fog softening the outlines of trees and branches. So little light that colour is muted and subdued. A ghostly feel to it all.
