there are whole segments of society that get rich off of pretending that money is real. Some idiot will say something about an ad and these people say their imaginary money is suddenly and magically worth more. And everyone just goes along with these lunatics is the wild part!

I would spend hours in my bedroom reading magazines or some of the many free local papers, listening to Throwing Muses and INXS or whatever. Maybe talking to friends on the corded phone, making little collaged notes. I guess I don’t really miss it that much but it sounds slightly fun compared to now

(I know they’re still being made, but they don’t occupy the same cultural space they once did)
