Thatโs because Canadians arenโt going to DC unless they have to and usually they arrive with armed guards

This profile is my personal thoughts about news, politics, & markets. - Iโm realizing I need to get a life - looking for work
Thatโs because Canadians arenโt going to DC unless they have to and usually they arrive with armed guards
07.10.2025 18:22 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Ford is pissed off about Trump killing off the Canadian auto parts industry
Time for him to find an investor to make a Canadian Car using Canadian resources that Europeans and Japanese would love to buy
Time for Canada to get competitive
Unfortunately, there are a percentage of Canadians who love Trump
We are trying to convince them to travel south and ask for asylum.
It would empty out rural Alberta

Carney is a Great man โฆ Trump?
At least he figured out Canada has what the US wants - finally
OMG Trump thinks there are only drug boats not fishing boats -
Thank God my son graduated and started his career so he wonโt be on smaller commercial fishing boats close to Alaska next summer
Now how to convince my daughter not to go out on them next summer?
#canpoli
Yes he does see Canada as competition not a partner
He sees the whole world as competition
Which is why Canada needs to stop acting like a partner and start to seriously become a competitor on the global stage - we will win
Hoping you have to eat your words because Carney needs to bring home a win
I understand your words though as the optics of being so buddy buddy are not what many Canadians want to see - we want him to put Trump in his place
Thing is heโs giving Trump enough rope to hang himself
Watch the full press conference at one point Trump says Carney is an important guy and he wants to be important like him
www.cpac.ca/headline-pol...
Thoughts and opinions and discussion is what I asked for and I got it!
In context the PM and Trump had friendly banter and Trump is open to making Canadians happy / He also said Carney is a tough negotiator and knows what he wants
Go beyond the clip

Donโt hold your breathe
Who is positioned and has the support to take him out?
Ford?
Jamil?
Ford has the brand and Jamil has the far right US machine - but would either take him out?
Poilievre still has lots of support in his party
Which is why Canadians need to be informed so they can have conversations and disarm he misinformed
It will take thousands of people to pick up the ball and be soldiers against misinformation
Letโs be nice - keep emotions in check
Think it through
Carney needs a win today - A deal on Stella & aluminum - Heโs not going to get it by pissing Trump off
A clip only shows you a small piece of the conversation out of Context
Later Trump said Carney was a tough negotiator- nasty
Itโs not what our emotions want to see
It will take rational thinking to see Carneyโs strategy
I know right - we want to see a good fight but that would only harm us.
Carney is playing nice w the playground bully while encouraging trade with other players
Did Trump even hear the question?
He is obsessed with killing Canadaโs automakers part industry
What is Your opinion about Trumps statement of Canadaโs efforts to curb fentanyl and cross boarder migration?
07.10.2025 16:44 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Trump proves the old adage about assuming
What will it take for Canadians to love US govt policy again?
#canpoli
Opinion | Sheila Copps: Carney needs something to show that Liberals donโt just care about mega-projects. No tax on food could be a good place to start.

Majority of Canadians trust Mark Carney to help Canadaโs economy
โCarney holds a 14-point advantage over Pierre Poilievre on trust in handling Canadaโs economy.โ
Is Trump liking Carney a good or bad thing for Canada?
#canpoli
How do you feel about Mark Carneyโs performance in the Oval Office Today?

I know manufacturers in the US have put pressure on DC re aluminum due to their lack of aluminum foundries
A month or so ago the US trade guys were talking about it and negotiating aluminum tariffs - not sure what they asked us to give up though
Cool idea
07.10.2025 05:55 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Did they have to go with Black?
I get not wanting to look like Santa but they could have gone with Red and white without the fur edging
White robe with Red neck
Too bad they went with a US look
They need someone who can entertain the media - it will take someone who can steal Fordโs limelight
07.10.2025 04:07 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0In Canada the main misinformation creator is Poilievreโs communications team
They spend a fortune on ad spend and the message is easily repeated by his followers
The right has a concise narrative shared over and over by their people
Iโm not sure if the real numbers get to Trump or if he gets manipulated info
He told the generals the US received 17 Trillion in investment in his 8 months - but most of that was his deals w/ UK EU Japan & Korea
Whether that investment happens is uncertain
neither am i - We need our government to get on with getting the job done and not partisan politics
07.10.2025 03:03 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Poilievre is working hard to show Canadians him as an option and tell a narrative that tells Canadians that Carney is delivering nothing to improve Canadians lives.
We know it is lies, but Canadians who are not paying attention, who have lost their jobs, or are unhappy may be swayed to believe PP
Poilievre this time is tabling legislation into the HoC to show his policy and offer Canadians with policy options.
If we think his narrative will not influence Canadians, he will win. The media will fill the void with the narratives given to them and Poilievre is a pro at getting his message out
