Been slowly watching through Stone Ocean (back on Jojo after years away) and I missed seeing one scene characters with utterly bizarre designs for no reason

I tapped out of following the mainstream open world genre so many years ago, and every time pop back in it feels like nothing has changed and that's not a compliment. You play barely a handful and you know the general tropes, they're so samey.

rewatching a tehsnakerer video for the 5th time and I totally forgot about this frame

It's the foundation of much of his character and his happiest point, 3 now shows what he's lost and who he threw it away for.

When 3 was new, it was more "oh, we're trading cool crime stories for this" as 1 and 2 were the only points of comparison available

I think that generation of fans is largely out of the discussion or else turned around on 3 over time. As always its hard to say but interesting to speculate. 4 I think was taken as a messy return to form (ie. Gritty melodramatic crime drama)

Got in at 3 and way back when popular concensus in people talking about the series was that 3 was a miss, a tonal departure. That's not 100% of people obvs, just the loudest opinion.

Now it's seen a lot more fondly, likely due to how later entries have treated Kiryu

The best thing about the Pac-Man World remakes is that the whippersnappers are learning the real Pac-Man is just a guy with a family and a dad-sense of humor
