“Will anyone in the Epstein files be held accountable?” What you have to understand is that while sexual violence is technically illegal and frowned upon in the abstract, in practice it is accepted, ubiquitous, de rigeur, and a primary vehicle for male bonding.

Late to this, but she has now resorted to calling the Epstein files a "moral panic".

Been a weird week since i posted this this. It got picked up by a handful of news outlets, was shared tens of thousands of times, and then it too, started showing up in the 2026 data. All of that happened before the news exploded again after the week's events, and boy are the latest headlines grim.

New from me: an example of how the voices of "moderation" have ALWAYS gotten it wrong in struggles for civil rights & equality. This would be a very good time to FINALLY collectively figure this out.

'Mini Switzerland' plan for Peak District transport network The idea would see buses arriving before trains pull into stations to improve connectivity.

Fantastic to see my Mini Switzerland idea covered by the BBC.

It captures so many people’s imaginations because it’s both obvious, simple and yet - from where we are today - unspeakably radical.

Time to stop criminalising the people protesting a genocide - and start ending the UK's complicity.

Israel used weapons in Gaza that made thousands of Palestinians evaporate US-made thermal weapons burning at 3,500C caused 2,842 people to "evaporate" in Gaza, Al Jazeera investigation finds.

“Four of my children just evaporated,” Badran said, holding back tears. “I looked for them a million times. Not a piece was left. Where did they go?”

There are no words to adequately describe the evil here.

Notice how the popular media narrative has moved on, while people on the ground in Minneapolis are still struggling and crying out that things are as bad as ever. This is how fascist regimes operate — overreach, recalibration, normalization. Get louder, not quieter.

Really taken with Haolong dongi, out today from Jiandong Huang, Pascal Godefroit and team. Just submitted news article on it. An iguanodontian with abundant hollow spikes across the neck and body, projecting from among conventional basement scales, and with rows of plate-like scales along the tail.

How Europe’s “Chat Control” Regulation Could Compromise American Communications Darío Maestro examines Europe’s proposed “Chat Control” and how it could mandate message scanning, weaken encryption, and threaten EU-U.S. data transfers.

Europe spent a decade condemning US surveillance. Now the EU’s “Chat Control” regulation risks mandating mass message scanning, undermining encryption, and putting the EU-US Data Privacy Framework at risk—from Europe itself, says Surveillance Technology Oversight Project’s Darío Maestro.

London talk

the title of my talk October 25 in London, audience "500, 35 pounds paid attendance each

"An Evening on Evolutionary Biology: An overview covering Feminism, Transgender, Homosexuality and Honor Killings."

$3000 for me (i will already be in London paid for by Imperial College) and an almost certain corporate $3000 add on

just as you outlined-this will create an immediate internet wave especially in the UK with coverage in all the major newspapers and so on

anyway i will concentrate on it, to the exclusion of individual pieces at the moment

all best

I'm not being facetious. Epstein was apparently giving talking points to the people pushing anti trans rhetoric in the UK.

The Pitt got greenlit for a season 3, out next February, and the announcement has very funny comment from HBO chairman Casey Bloys that’s like “yeah, turns out if you just make a TV show like how we used to make TV shows you can have a 15+ episode season every year 🤷‍♂️”

a thing we have to be careful of is that all these people, especially Epstein, had a hugely exaggerated view of their own power and loved to claim they were responsible for shit they had very little or nothing to do with.

i think this is exactly right. fascism is the Death Drive as ideology. it's why the catastrophic end of the Nazi Party does not deter people from worshipping Nazis. that the Nazis destroyed Germany along with the rest of Europe is part of the appeal.

This is not an excuse, but I think when the world removes every bit of evidence of your own worth, your place at the hop of an arbitrary hierarchy becomes more important—it feels like a life preserver for a drowning psyche. This might explain why racists and incels are such uniform losers.
