The Conservative government has had 5 years to #CleanTheAir in #OntEd schools. Ford has prioritized alcohol over student learning conditions, again and again.

We deserve a government that will finally prioritize our kids.

Props to @chandrapasma.bsky.social for her advocacy.

Ontario schools' air quality infrastructure isn't where it needs to be for the challenges we're about to face.

Our schools must be fit for learning, resilient to climate change, and capable of supporting the health and well-being of students and staff

Pandemic money was meant to clear the air in Ontario schools. Did it work? Where did the funding go?

Did Ontario’s COVID-19 funds clean air in schools? | The Narwhal Doug Ford’s government touted its investments in indoor air quality in schools during the pandemic, but there’s little proof of how it will help with climate change impacts

The Ontario government touted its efforts to improve air quality in schools during the COVID-19 pandemic. Those efforts could also limit the risk of wildfire smoke and vehicle exhaust, but there’s scant data on what was done and if it worked. thenarwhal.ca/ontario-scho...

If governments and organisations attended to indoor air quality, we’d be less reliant on masks to prevent transmission of respiratory infections.

Not gonna make a comment about other airborne things and who said what about them not being airborne. Just clean the air FFS.

Los Angeles Skies Are Deceptively Clear When is it safe to go outside?

"AQI is far from a perfect indicator of whether the air outside is okay," writes @andrewmoseman.bsky.social.

The skies may be clear, but don't put away your air filters just yet, Angelenos.

This is important info πŸ‘‡

If you bought an off-the-shelf HEPA filter, you need to check if you're getting the right level of air filtration out of it.

Although I suspect supplies will be hard to find, here's instructions on building a HEPA purifier (Corsi Rosenthal Box). A good chunk of Ventura County is unhealthy air tonight, and it would be useful to have one or two of these running to protect your lungs. #airquality #AQI #CorsiRosenthalBox […]

Emergency department visits for kids ages 5-17 for respiratory viruses are trending up in Virginia on the most recent update. Schools started back just a few weeks ago, this shows how important it is that we clean the air in schools. Cleaner air will result in less infections.

So here's a tip for you that use humidifiers.

We just did an indoor air quality test with our @atmotube.com monitor.

With tap water, the air was "severely polluted"

With our reverse osmosis water it was on the edge of good/moderate.

There's a reason they suggest using distilled water.

We just need $400 PER CLASSROOM for air cleaners that would reduce sickness and thus absences of teachers, students and their parents.

Investing in air quality in schools is an investment in our economy, present and future!

So, changing the air filters on the Mechanical Heat Recovery Ventilation System in Cork City.

Wait until the end for outside air filter. This is after 2.5 months, with coal fires only really kicking off in October or so.
