Labour are a proto-fascist party
22.05.2025 12:57 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Labour love to pretend they like international law and order (βwe wonβt pre-empt international courts when it comes to determining genocideβ) and then they go ahead and freeze the ICC Chief Prosecutorβs bank accountsβ¦
15.05.2025 12:39 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0yeah Starmer's full mask-off racist now but the REAL villains in all this are the people who saw him for what he and his project were before me, the protagonist of reality
p.s looking forward to the book! have been ever since it won an award in March 2016!
Some humility from centrists who got this completely wrong would be nice. Like just very basic accountability and recognition that the left was right and they were not.
Instead, even when βadmittingβ they were wrong they do it in such a sneering way
The ironic thing is that British foreign aid often acts to project soft power abroad in service of our imperialist foreign policy goals. Musk-brained Labourites are letting incompetence get in the way of their imperialism
13.05.2025 11:00 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0sorry but the idea a bunch of politics dorks didnβt deliberately write the enoch powell reference as an enoch powell reference in starmerβs speech is either an insult to our intelligence or an insult to theirs
13.05.2025 10:15 β π 100 π 21 π¬ 2 π 2Crazy that in the past week Starmer has out-Nazied Kanye West, despite Kanye releasing a song called βHeil Hitlerβ

sir keir:
You said βLabour style socialist party is an oxymoronβ, omitting that I said βCorbynβs Labour style socialist partyβ.
08.05.2025 00:27 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Although here you seem to be backing Zack and the Greens, are you coming from a perspective that the Greens under Zack may constitute a socialist party and Corbynβs Labour didnβt?
07.05.2025 23:31 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Depends on the validity of the term βdemocratic socialistβ, which is used by the left wing of social democracy who vary in their commitment to common ownership of the means of production
07.05.2025 23:29 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Do you think the left should use the Green Party as an electoral platform for left politics, or should people wait for a Corbynβs Labour style socialist party which is rumoured to be in the works?
07.05.2025 09:55 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Itβs a mistake to go into the Greens thinking this guy is the next Jeremy Corbyn. Youβre setting yourself up for disappointment.
The only plausible argument for left entryism is the strength of the Greens democratic mechanisms that can hold a figurehead to account.
Passed by the BMA conference today.
27.04.2025 14:27 β π 100 π 47 π¬ 3 π 2Palestinians are not βfacingβ starvation.
They are being starved to death by Israel.
Yet our government still refuses to end all arms sales and implement sanctions, granting endless impunity for Israel's crimes against humanity.
End the blockade β and stop the genocide.
Even the reddest American states do not have bathroom bans covering all private as well as public facilities. This is as extreme as it gets
27.04.2025 16:09 β π 784 π 295 π¬ 27 π 8But on the issues theyβre essentially the same, so who makes better TV?
27.04.2025 13:02 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Is it guaranteed sheβll be wiped out by the press? Sheβs demonstrated her obsequience to power, and thrown the left under the bus. The press attacked her during the Corbyn days but a lot has changed since
27.04.2025 10:42 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Raynerβs time?
27.04.2025 09:09 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Which would matter for a Parliament made up of Labour MPs who are transphobic out of cowardice more than anything
26.04.2025 10:35 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Not that itβs better if this was done through primary legislation but it would at least give it a facade of democratic accountability and politicians would have to put their names to itβ¦
26.04.2025 10:35 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The Supreme Court and EHRC have taken existing legislation that worked its way through our βdemocraticβ processes and interpreted it in a specific way that is antithetical to the understanding of sex and gender in biological and sociological disciplines.
26.04.2025 10:28 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0So the EHRC guidance suggests that even if you wish to form your own trans-inclusive group, you arenβt allowed to. An insane overreach.
What is this if not legislating trans people out of public life?
That is a major barrier to using representative democracy as a vehicle for socialist change which I think needs to be addressed by any new left party. What mechanisms would be in place to ensure representatives are subordinated to the movement?
26.04.2025 09:40 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Generally I think people should refer to trans *people* rather than βtransβ
26.04.2025 08:55 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The idea of accountability to a wider movement scares Labour MPs so much. This is the sort of patronising response you get for merely questioning a βpro-transβ Labour MP about their membership of a transphobic party.
