Some humility from centrists who got this completely wrong would be nice. Like just very basic accountability and recognition that the left was right and they were not.

Depends on the validity of the term “democratic socialist”, which is used by the left wing of social democracy who vary in their commitment to common ownership of the means of production

It’s a mistake to go into the Greens thinking this guy is the next Jeremy Corbyn. You’re setting yourself up for disappointment.

The Supreme Court and EHRC have taken existing legislation that worked its way through our “democratic” processes and interpreted it in a specific way that is antithetical to the understanding of sex and gender in biological and sociological disciplines.

So the EHRC guidance suggests that even if you wish to form your own trans-inclusive group, you aren’t allowed to. An insane overreach.

What is this if not legislating trans people out of public life?

That is a major barrier to using representative democracy as a vehicle for socialist change which I think needs to be addressed by any new left party. What mechanisms would be in place to ensure representatives are subordinated to the movement?

The idea of accountability to a wider movement scares Labour MPs so much. This is the sort of patronising response you get for merely questioning a “pro-trans” Labour MP about their membership of a transphobic party.
