How does it work if someone quote tweets someone you blocked? Quoted tweet isn't there- You just see it as a normal tweet

So you just see someone tweet "look at this dumbo" without any context

If you count censorship as user hostile design choices to maximise their avenue then they definitely will + just cos someone's on Instagram doesn't mean they'll sign up for or log into or engage heavily with a twitter clone

It's like assuming McDonald's have a built in audience for a KFC knock off

Facebook will put some money behind it but it won't be do or die for them like it will for the smaller operations and part of what keeps twitter alive is being a space that's less friendly to everything that makes Instagram money.

Think the user base of Instagram will make it harder-

Instagram have a solid financial model of content production and engagement. Brands are happy, creators are happyish, users are content- why are they going to risk that seriously at all to gain twitters less profitable more risk platform
