Cracking trip around South Gare today with very active 9 Arctic Skua all over the area.
Had Common, Little, Sandwich, Arctic and Roseate Tern.
Merlin app thought Caspian Tern too but I think not! :)
Nice to see Knott too as inland birder.

Very quick visit to Fairburn Ings for 10 mins on the way home. Two Spoonbills dropped in front as I arrived, quickly followed by a Whimbrel and 3 common terns.
Great, Little and Cattle egret present and a Hobby nearby
Went for the Garganey at Staveley and found a bonus Whimbrel. LRP also present
