You should be able to configure cargo to generate a static library that you can link into your embedded firmware, though I'm personally not familiar with this.

Thanks Jamie! The book does not cover no_std or embedded development (I'm personally not too familiar with writing embedded Rust), but in theory the C FFI could be used for bridging the language gap in an embedded application. The ffi types are in core as well as std, so you're not limited there.
