06.07.2025 19:35 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The thing Iβm noticing with big media (KOIN, Oregonian, etc) is that theyβre doing a decent job covering the arrests of asylum seekers and of people at immigration court appearances, but not of US citizens, as in the LA times piece, and which @cozca.bsky.social experienced. Thatβs the reporting that

We have been protesting at PDX ICE since January 21, 2025 for Trumps 2nd term.
Not one fed or cop has been hospitalized, disabled or killed after 7 months of "violent" protests at PDX ICE.
In 4 hours on one day MAGA put 144 in the hospital, killed two and disabled 20 who couldn't return to duty.
Dear PDX,
Show up to protest at the federal courthouse and at ICE. The more feds focused on crushing our rebellion, the less feds are deporting. You dont even need to protest. Have a dance party BBQ with protest signs. Feds are forced to adjust rosters just in case either way.
Shit, this is disheartening. I was researching local bail funds to promote. Thanks for sharing. Do they give βreasonsβ for not helping, or did they just ignore your requests? (Not asking you to list reasons; just curious if they make excuses or just ghost people)
28.06.2025 20:52 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I wish we could get people to call every PDX city council person and every other politician in Oregon. I wish the people who call themselves allies against ICE would spend 1 hour making calls and emails.
I am begging you to and then veg your friend too. They can't silence ICE kidnapping US citizens.
Zohran: Imagine living in a city where you can afford your rent, your groceries and even a meal at a restaurant now and then without much stress
Eric Adams: Imagine a platypus so powerful that it could destroy the city. We need more cops

I have a yellow zip hoodie on, and the gray and white head of cat with his eyes closed is resting on my chest. His body is under my zipped up hoodie, making a funny-looking lump on my stomach. My expression is muted delight and says something like, βcan you believe this is happening??β
My buddy Dale does not typically enjoy being contained in any way. But he let me zip him up into my sweater when he cuddled onto my chest, and we enjoyed a solid half hour of coregulating snuggles.
