Yes exactly! And we have to make sure that the kiddos know *we* value speaking more than one language, even if we don't do it fluently. This is def renewing my commitment to practice my Spanish and Russian this year, even if it's bad

Bad Bunny's halftime show has me reflecting on my disappointment that the US education system as a whole isn't more committed to multilingualism. So many languages & cultures are part of our various communities & we ignore real opportunities to actually celebrate that as part of our broader culture

Non-"math" math class offerings are so interesting to me. Every freshman at my school had to take a writing seminar & each department had to offer one. I took the math department's offering (cryptography) to get my math class done & got to spend the semester writing papers on ciphers
