For context, we started with high throughput chemoproteomics screens. This is where you typically have N=2 designs, the replicates are purely technical, and the measurement error spans 3 orders of magnitude across analytes.

Proposal: Take a look at our work. Post your criticisms on this site! At the very least it should be fun.

Two perfectly reasonable responses: 1) Tell him that sounds like BS and challenge him to prove it! 2) Ignore the email, but check out our presentations at the next ASMS. I’m confident that anyone who looks into the details will conclude that we have made dramatic advances for the field.
