If you're using AI to write essays, eulogies, a text to your wife, I do think less of you as a person. Ceding your mental and creative abilities to a machine is an embarrassing thing and people should be ashamed to admit doing it in public.

Get off Spotify. You may think you need to be in it, but you don't. We recently switched to Deezer, which doesn't have AI tracks, doesn't support Joe Rogan, and pays artists better. Still not great, but better than Spotify. Even transferred playlists and everything. Easy-peasy.

I wouldn't say there are no use cases, but it does seem that many use cases boil down to asking a machine to make decisions for you, come to conclusions for you, etc., which is kind of pathetic. A quick fix for intellectual weakness. But sure, it can save effort.

"In some root sense just a probability machine" contains some pretty deep qualifiers. That such a reduction can reasonably describe an LLM seems itself indicative of an LLM's comparison to actual thought.

I did something like what Cuban describes here, but I somehow managed to do it just with Stack Exchange (for example).
