In today's episode of Honestly ADHD Might Kill Me, I've been staring at my screen for nigh on 5 hours trying to summon the motivation to write an email. The email is to my psychiatrist's PA to book an appointment to get my ADHD prescription reviewed before I run out of meds. Oh the irony.

It's the end of a super busy day. It is 8.30. I am tired. I am extremely hungry. Dinner is cooked and waiting in the air fryer. The air fryer is in the kitchen and I am on the sofa. My task paralysis is preventing me from getting it.

He's now talking about a fast release equivalent of elvanse/vyvanse or switching to a non stim alternative. Its super frustrating and feels very much like guesswork all the time!!

So elvanse was a disaster, racing heart rate, chronic headaches, blood pressure through the roof. Switched to concerta and felt like it maybe helped a tiny bit but not enough, I'm now on max dose and really no difference between taking it and not (did a 2 month break to test the theory)

Ok friends, let's talk #ADHD meds, esp late diagnosed women in their 30s. I have been on Concerta XL now for sometime, and at no point have I felt like it is helping my symptoms in any way shape or form. I just don't understand if my expectations are out of whack, or if it doesn't work for me?
