My elderly parents wanted me to come back over last year and this one, and I’ve had to say absolutely not. And they can’t travel to Ireland to see us. I’m facing the real prospect of not attending if they should pass away before all this is over. The guilt is breaking me.

After my first, I was given cream of wheat (semolina) for breakfast, which I already liked. But that bowl was MAGIC. The first thing I asked for after kids 2 and 3 was the same meal. Nurses asked if I was getting pregnant just to have a good breakfast I didn't have to cook myself.

This series is so good. It's a ton of fun, I'm in love with both male leads, the world-building is excellent, and I lose track of time entirely when I read. I get sucked in, and it's difficult to put the books down to attend to real life. Good escape reading, but also morally grey stuff to chew on.
