Latte the Pumpkin Patch Tarantula molted overnight!

She hadn't eaten the last couple feeding days and had webbed off her entire burrow. Very cranky vibes in that tiny house.

Thankfully she burrowed in the corner and theres a couple little windows to see her pink fresh legs and her molt.

It’s more than a bit disturbing that if you get big enough online (by which I mean like over 1,000 followers), there’s almost certainly at least one person who hates your guts who’s never interacted with you at all.

Seems a lot of our moms got a little something extra special around Christmas. 😁

Just rehoused Latte the Pumpkin Patch tarantula into her new enclosure. She went from the tiny sauce cup shes probably been in since her first molt to this nice diy acrylic cube. Already happy dancing (spinning silk) all over the place.

And all crappy dudes who never get it may you come back as a male turantula in your next life.

Did I have the foresight to take my acorn dye bath for wool and boil it down after I was done with it and keep it to use as wood and paper stain? Yes, yes I did.

The leftover tannins aren't enough to dye fabric anymore but they work great here!

I've been gifted two more spiders. The total is 4 now. I'm stopping there. Told my fellow spider dood that's enough for now. They are such fascinating critters to watch. They dig and weave and scurry around and are pretty damn adorable. Especially after feeding when they got big butts 😁
