Very cool. Ive heard the carolinas have a pretty high kaolin content. So lucky! I'm gathering my wild clay from the American SW so it's high in calcium as it's a cretatious era sea bed. Pit/low fire works haven't gotten access to a proper kiln to test it higher.

Updates on the whole name change thing. Ditched my last favorite because I fell down several rabbit holes last night. My past choice had a lot of *issues* I didn't realize were a thing. So nooope! But I found something better that sums things up and evokes several layers of meaning for me. Yay!

The only troubles with this one is its a linguistic 30 car pile up. Nephilm is plural, Naphil is singular. Soo uh Nephilm's or Nephilms'? I'm meaning to say one cradle for all so 's then? Right? Then when it comes to web addresses I have to ditch the ' all together. nephilimscradle that looks weird.

Theres a lot drawing on my heritage on that list some obscure some less so. I feel like a lot of them are too obscure. Right now Nephilm's Cradle is kind of my favorite. The children of the fallen watchers who taught mankind everything and a cradle as a place of beginning and creation? Seems to fit.

The replacement name I want to be similar in concept. Something strange, changeable, compound (because I have such a wide skill set) and a focus on creating. Ive been researching like crazy, but in the months since Ive started I'm no closer. I'm open to suggestions. 😚

I chose it because the root words are a funny take on "I make weird stuff" but now there's an ai "company", a subpar podcast, some 3d print shop (at least they actually make stuff), and probably a couple others. All came after me. Nothing I can really do about it but it's still plenty annoying.

I need to figure out this whole account and shop name change.

Im still personally going by Fae but I want to separate that from any big cartel/etsy/inprint ect

Main reason is apparently the old Internet civility of "search the name you want to use to make sure no one else is using it" is gone. :/

Thank you so much! For the record these aren't directly from any individual graves. Theres a little graveyard near me where they have a side lot for the overflow dirt from fresh graves goes and it happens to be perfect clay content. I plan on getting a mini wheel to make some stuff with it too.

I found the Mother of all datura plants. I went to just clip a couple seed pods and the business owner she's growing in front of told me he has to yank her out. Sad but my timing couldn't have been more perfect. I'm going to gather her up on sat. Shes about 4 ft tall and sprawls a whopping 20 ft!
