I think the general consensus is we'd all want him at the club. Selling Diaz, Nunez and losing Diogo the way we did, has left us short in the attacking areas. We need shoring up defensively too, but it looks like we're getting Guéhi and the Italian lad Leoni, so we're good there I reckon.

DC really needs to stop pairing Jason off with Dick Grayson's exes.

I feel the pandemic got far too many people comfortable with digital or streaming, but for me it was always a band aid till I could get back to buying physical books or movies.

Batman and his Rogues: Redux (2023)

I find myself very rarely excited for anything Marvel are doing these days. A lot of it feels gimmicky with very little substance, and that's what this feels like.

Dark Patterns is everything I've wanted in a Batman book, and some things I didn't know I wanted. I'd love to see Dan Watters given a crack at the main Bat book, if he's allowed to make it as weird and engaging. And get Hayden Sherman on too, because damn.

You haven't missed much. I tapped out after the last issue. I'll wait for Fraction's Bat run to begin and have Dark Patterns and B&R Year One to tide me over till then.

Should've made it Black Label and out of continuity so Loeb's 2003 style writing didn't jar as much as it does.

I feel bad for saying this because I was a big Jim Lee guy back in the day, but his H2sh work..... isn't that good?

I feel bad for Jim, because this whole H2sh felt like a Hail Mary from the very beginning, and the art was the least of it's problems.

Should've made this a mini series rather than part of the ongoing book. Wee bit embarrassing when you realise it won't be finished by the time Fraction's Bat run will be up to #4.

Over in the other place, I'm seeing Grayson Super Spy slander. Mad how something that was previously popular suddenly isn't because the internet has decided they don't like what the writer is currently doing.

I think that's why a lot of the Bat books that are doing well, Dark Patterns and B&R Year One, are where it's the original status quo. Usually change is good, but not in this instance.

It's mad that Jim hasn't been commissioner for 5 years and Alfred has been dead the same. Hopefully Fraction fixes one and maybe starts the ball rolling on the other.

Get him back to being Commish first, then get him back on the ciggies.

Read Batgirl #10, and Cheetah & Cheshire Rob The JL #1 this afternoon. DC are still crushing it.

Read #2 of Chip Zdarsky's Captain America today and, outside of the Ultimate line, I think it's one of if not the best book Marvel is doing just now. And I say this not being a Cap guy at all.

Not gonna show it(I'll put Bluesky's graphic media filter on it), but this moment in this month's All New Venom doesn't have the impact it should, simply because the waited for too long to pull the trigger on it. It's a shame, because the whole scene is actually well written.

Occasionally, I check in to see what's going on in the Spider-Man corner of Marvel to see if there's a decent hook to keep me around. Sadly, there's still nothing doing. #NCBD

I'm slightly more cautious than I was previously. Felt ThunderBolts and FF were just okay, but still suffering from the MCU formula. Would like to see them do something different with Spidey.
