If you think “hearing from all sides” is a useful way to spend your time, you may have too much time on your hands. Give me sound logic or talk to someone else. My time is too valuable for nonsense. Apologies in advance. I don’t read or repost Substack.

Wow. Conservatives are suddenly threatening "states' rights" because it doesn't suit them? You gotta be kidding me. Almost as if states' rights has been a bullshit excuse to mask racism for 165 years!

The commander in question is “alleged to have worn red MAGA hats in the past & “made it very clear” how he feels about those who do not support the administration’s agenda.
He is also alleged to have made seeing Melania count as 1 of the 3 “unit activity events” they’re required to attend each month

Sometimes I'll complain about something and a genius will reply with some version of "oh, you'd rather things were worse?"

No, stupid, I'd rather things were better. That's why I'm complaining.

You can't un-traumatize a child. They can heal, but they don't go back to what they were before. Trauma is forever.

This is bleak: Jes Staley, currently CEO of Barclays, reassuring Epstein that popular revolt against financial elites is unlikely because capitalism and pop culture have defanged social movements, leaving people more invested in consumption than justice.

The original ‘wine moms’ are in Ohio. They’re mobilizing to support Haitians in Springfield. Katie Paris founded Red, Wine & Blue to harness suburban women's political power — now more than 600,000 members are deploying it to oppose ICE in their communities.

Red Wine & Blue now has more than 600,000 members. Its members and affiliated groups held 4,000 events last year, most of them in person. On Tuesday, they raised more than $100k in less than an hour to support Haitians in Springfield, OH & oppose ICE. 19thnews.org/2026/02/wine... via @19thnews.org

Cuba needs oil far more urgently than food. Mexico can’t afford to appease Trump. As Churchill said, “An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile—hoping it will eat him last.” The region should unite and call TACO Trump’s bluff by selling oil to Cuba.

Factories Are Becoming More Like Data Centers Large electricity users that employ few workers are not what America’s reindustrialization dreams are made on.

Many Americans dislike data centers because they use land, water, and electricity without creating many permanent jobs.

There’s just one wrinkle: Modern factories increasingly fit the same description.

There wasn’t much he could say to his son, “except hug him and tell him everything would be OK,” Conejo said.

Liam has since been reunited with his hat and continues to wear it, even inside the house, his dad said Thursday. Asked how he might one day explain to Liam everything that has happened, Conejo said he would tell his son that he had become the face of hope and change.

"He was the global figure who did all this so that the voices of the people demanding freedom would be heard, especially those of the children who are still locked up," Conejo said. “I would tell him he was very brave and that I am very proud of him.”

Sheru, our most Minnesotan of cats, will not directly fuss about someone else eating her food, but will instead quietly gaze at a third party, hoping you clearly see the Injustice taking place and recognize her for the true, patiently suffering heroine that she is.
