I love that I couldn’t get into a Boston Book Festival event because it was already at capacity. I cannot describe how much that pleases me.

(Also the next one is Oct 14 at The Banshee in DOT if you are local want to come check it out.)

01.10.2025 16:10 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0A few years ago there was this thing publishers were doing where they were top-binding certain novels/prose books like a reporter's notebook. Does anybody remember what that was called? Or have any articles about this handy?

Also: "Ardennes boy" is maybe my new favorite moniker 😂
Similar trajectories for sure through. But even in the classics it's more of a Holy Week vs Ardennes thing, isn't it? Anyway – fun thing to ponder!

But knee-jerk, yes: MvDP has never carried GC ambitions, whereas Pidcock has (or has had them thrust upon him). So despite the weirdness of the current era (i.e., Pogacar doing everything), they're not comparable, at least on the road, for me.
