The line you're referring to is "The airplane also had the distinction of carrying in the cockpit Orville Wright on what would be his last flight". If Wright had been at the controls, he would have said that.

Very task-dependent — a 0% error rate if you ask it to write a bash script to perform some sort of trivial file formatting, but a 100% error rate if you ask it to find potential optimisations in a large closed-source codebase written in a compiled language.

Absolutely — in contexts were there are existing well-established guardrails (human or otherwise), LLMs can be good. An LLM helped me create this PR, and static analysis tooling and a bajillion tests helped ensure it didn’t break anything.
