Introducing STRESSED (STRuctured Generation Security System Evaluating Data)!

STRESSED is an anxious security intern that monitors your logs (system/web/etc) for security risks, and provides a simple overview of what's going on in your system using structured generation.

Huge shoutout to @dottxtai.bsky.social for making outlines-core. We just moved the first bit (JSON schema -> regex compilation) from our Python backend to Rust router.

Benchmarked some schemas and it's super fast πŸ”₯.

A graph showing that structured generation performs better than unstructured generation.

A graph showing that structured generation performs better than unstructured generation.

Our new blog post is out!

@willkurt.bsky.social provides a rebuttal for a reasonably well known paper which concluded that structured generation with LLMs always resulted in worse performance.

We do not find the same thing.

before attempts are made which the probably are already though. There are some fundamental differences between the two however which mean any interface would not expose all features in both directions. Post limits are (currently) 300 on AT/Bluesky vs 500 on ActivityPub/Mastodon, f.ex

Reporting from my tech only account;

Bluesky’s AT Protocol and the ActivityPub protocol used by Mastodon, Threads and numerous other lesser known services are not compatible with one another and to date - afaik - nobody has written a translation layer, though it’s no doubt only a matter of time
