Rowling's 24/7 commitment to being an absolute nightmare ghoul is sort of extraordinary. She has every option in the world for how to spend her life and she commits herself entirely to hatred and self-righteous mean-spiritedness; some are more effective at evil but nobody puts in the hours like her.

You're right, you'd definitely have to exclude every street with no bike infrastructure on it (99% of streets) to get a disproportionate number.

Ahhh, wouldn't that be nice. 1.5% of all roadway available for bikes. We'd have to build hundreds more bike lanes to get there.

As far as I can tell it would mostly be Bookmark, Jennifer's, Cha Baa Thai, Giant Bikes, Bliss, Rasa, Running Room, my physio and massage. All of which have equivalents reasonably close to me but towards the North End

Morris St in Halifax looking east towards Queen. The eastbound lane has been closed and only the westbound lane is open. Traffic crews are directing traffic, but there is none in the photo.

Morris has been reduced to one lane for water work. I assume the port has shut down and ambulances are refusing to even try answering calls in the area.

I've been reading all the coverage of the Ford-esque Premier of Nova Scotia threatening to upend democracy if Halifax goes through with turning Morris Street into one-way for cars to turn one lane over to bikes. Here I thought this was like Bloor or University in Toronto. But no. This is Morris St.

Trucks to and from the port do not use Morris Street.

Oh, that it's not the cameras that create a class of offenses that rich folks can abuse but that speeding tickets are met only with fines. Even without cameras this is true. A fine creates a transgression that is allowable for a fee.
