Is it at all possible for specialists within HR, the CSD team, my District Manager, and maybe others to collaborate in a way that can accommodate my needs?

I would like to keep the legal name in the system the same, but change the email. This typically involves creating a new email, and setting up auto-redirect from the original email to the newly created email.

I plan on leading my store's mobile department for years with my team's help, and this is an accommodation that will allow me to use my email to communicate with my sales representatives and my district manager without feeling deep emotional pain.

I understand that for legal reasons, my name cannot be changed in the system. I don't personally mind that, I understand completely.

My District Manager, J-- --------, and my previous District Manager, R--- --------, accepted me for who I am and they've both helped me so much to grow into the Lead I am today.

I replied today,

I hope you are having a wonderful day. It was brought to my attention you were looking for your information to be updated in our system. Unfortunately, without legally updating your name and providing the updated ID's we would not be able to make any changes in our system.

I do not wish to put myself in this danger.

Sending emails from my current email isn't simply inconvenient, it hurts. Seeing the current email name inflicts a lot of personal pain within me.

Is there any exception that can be made in order to simply change my email address?"

Changing my legal name through the United States Social Security Administration will likely lead to my father cutting me off from financial support. From a personal and financial perspective, it is unsafe for me to change the legal name on my Social Security Card.

On October 6th,
Human Resources responded,

"Good Morning,

Your name on file needs to match your social security card. To update your name, please submit your updated social security card.

The email address will not be able be able to be updated until we have received a new SSN card."
