Year 2 of my NIMH F31 was supposed to have started yesterday. An award that I was proud to have funded on the first submission (13th percentile), which supported my dissertation research on eating disorders in adolescents, and which funded my tuition, stipend, and health insurance for the past year.

Spent the afternoon in a Youth Mental Health Leadership meeting w/ the goal to make mental health care accessible for ALL in Louisville

I love my work

I hate the American systems that make it so hard to do

It’s frustrating to imagine how many less kids would struggle if not for these systems

Are you from one of these states? Then we need your help to save American science!

The Senate Appropriations Committee will be marking up the President's Budget Request for science on Wednesday. People have been saying the proposed cuts "decimated" US science, but that's wrong: they are apocalyptic

They do not care about democracy

They just want to ensure they remain in power
