My wife and I visited the African-American Museum in D.C. a year ago. It was overwhelming — and unforgettable. We left knowing we’d be back.
If Trump succeeds in deleting our history from the museum, there’ll be nothing left. This is what erasure looks like —and it’s happening right in front of us.

I remember that they handed out refreshing towels in little packs that had „after Alien“ written on it at the ticktet counter, one of my first encounters with merch that made me go into marketing later

About 15% of world’s cropland polluted with toxic metals, say researchers
Scientists sound the alarm over substances such as arsenic and lead contaminating soils and entering food systems
About one sixth of global cropland is contaminated by toxic heavy metals, researchers have estimated, with as many as 1.4 billion people living in high-risk areas worldwide.
Approximately 14 to 17% of cropland globally – roughly 242m hectares – is contaminated by at least one toxic metal such as arsenic, cadmium, cobalt, chromium, copper, nickel or lead, at levels that exceed agricultural and human health safety thresholds. Continue reading...

Despite Orbans Regime criminalizing the Opposition and Oppressing liberal free press, the People of Hungary will finally unite and hopefully kick his ass. One must note that the Hungarians didnt really care about refugees or lgbtq rights - but the hate for Russia and Putin is a More Common ground.

Tesla's Sales Are Falling So Much That the Cash It Rakes in for Carbon Credits Is Under Threat
An important source of carbon credit revenue could quickly dry up for Tesla. And the pressure is on, experts warn.
Apparently Tesla isn't selling any cars which also means it's not selling carbon credits. It made 2.7 billion in carbon credits last year. Carbon credits is largely what has kept the company afloat

Opinion | Germany’s Far-Right Comeback
Germany’s attempts to “remember away” its Nazi past has instead paved the way for an extremist resurgence.

Musk’s company has been accused of manipulating systems to give far-right posts and politicians greater visibility
This is what explains Musk’s recent obsession with backing the far right in Europe and going on about making Europe great again. This and the racism.

kyle_maclachlan Forty-two years ago, for reasons beyond my comprehension, David Lynch plucked me out of obscurity to star in his first and last big budget movie. He clearly saw something in me that even I didn't recognize. I owe my entire career, and life really, to his vision.
What I saw in him was an enigmatic and intuitive man with a creative ocean bursting forth inside of him. He was in touch with something the rest of us wish we could get to.
Our friendship blossomed on Blue Velvet and then Twin Peaks and I always found him to be the most authentically alive person I'd ever met.
David was in tune with the universe and his own imagination on a level that seemed to be the best version of human. He was not interested in answers because he understood that questions are the drive that make us who we are. They are our breath.
While the world has lost a remarkable artist, l've lost a dear friend who imagined a future for me and allowed me to travel in worlds I could never have conceived on my own.
I can see him now, standing up to greet me in his backyard, with a warm smile and big hug and that Great Plains honk of a voice. We'd talk coffee, the joy of the unexpected, the beauty of the world, and laugh.
His love for me and mine for him came out of the cosmic fate of two people who saw the best things about themselves in each other.
I will miss him more than the limits of my language can tell and my heart can bear. My world is that much fuller because I knew him and that much emptier now that he's gone.
David, I remain forever changed, and forever your Kale. Thank you for everything.
This is a beautiful tribute.
