Yes, this no longer qualifies as prescient, but it’s still good to hear. Hopefully the EU’s campaign for “digital sovereignty” won’t simply devolve into a question of who owns the modalities of our precarity & exploitation, & will instead directly challenge existing norms, rules & expectations.

Indeed. Conversing with children and spending time outdoors (preferably photographing flowers or, if I’m super lucky, butterflies or bees) are essential parts of my day. A reminder that everything isn’t terrible. That our world is still alive with beauty & innocence.

Earlier this week, I was in a little garden just off the National Mall in DC (Mary Livingston Ripley Garden) very close to the US Capitol, and saw hundreds of monarchs. It was truly magical. A much needed break from the crushing pain of our everyday reality.
