It's important for sports to teach people, especially children, teamwork, dedication, all that jazz.

But is curling maybe the GOAT sport for preventing any participant or observer from conflating athletics with toxic masculinity?

You don't have to maintain personal relationships with fascists just because you're related. Ending it might be the strongest message available.

Especially important for responsible parents to remove those influences from children.

A lot of Schumer supporters here insist that he has his finger on the pulse and knows how to speak effectively to the idiots of America, in a condescending tone to perceived idiots on this site who don't get it. As an idiot, that seems too clever by half. Maybe say what's most important instead idk

Exactly.

It's not to show the ICE officer was in dangerβ€”the video he took himself shows he obviously isn'tβ€”but to show their supporters that the victim deserved to be murdered.

And to show their opponents they can and will murder them in cold blood and with impunity.

gmail app is offering to "summarize this email" for an email that fits into two bsky posts.

I would like a notification if a recipient ever does this, so I can avoid ever speaking to them again.

Inside the Very Peculiar and Wildly Popular World of Armored Medieval Combat Across America, in front of crowds of thousands, men and women are dressing up as knights from the Middle Ages and fighting one another. The weapons, violence, and chivalry are all real.

"Russian oligarchs developed a taste for medieval battle in the 1990s and began to burn cash on major brawls with hundreds of people."

Some yachts have been seized but those and national assets seem to be treated relatively gently compared to things that impact normal people, including medical supplies.

Normal people are hurt, but the other side of the ledger is that it doesn't seem very effective (see also Cuba, Iran).
The UK could block trade of consumer goods with the US due to the attacks on shipping or whatever else. How much more effective would it be to seize the Trump Turnberry hotel?

1 GW is a million kW! 2.2 GW is over 18,000x the power of the ISS! For one datacenter! Plus radiation causing bit flipping for bonus hallucinations.

At least according to scott manley, they want to solve cooling by distributing the compute among a swarm of satellites.

For reference, the ISS averages ~120kW, and the ISS is far larger than any other satellite for now. Amazon's Indiana Data Center, for one example, is slated to use 2.2 GW.

The talk of datacenters in space is even dumber than I had thought. Imagine replacing one datacenter with a swarm of 18,000 satellites the size of the International Space Station (ISS) and flying in formation with high speed data links!
