Do I know anybody who has experience writing scripts for video reviews, and could give me ballpark figures for rates? I've been approached with something that may or may not progress, but this isn't my area and I don't know how high/low is reasonable.

Streeting is admitting that the Pathways “trial” already has a predetermined outcome. Stuffing it with SEGM placeholders is evidence of this.

The only way we are going to end state-mandated torture of trans kids is to get Labour out of government completely.

The ending is touching, well-paced, and well-written. It's as though this was the first thing to be finished, then everything else was rushed. I'd love to hear the story of how this was made; what went right, what went wrong, and why.

The Deux Ex art director's brutal new game left me without waypoints or objectives to follow, but I became more immersed in its world as a result It's a harsh world full of woe, yet making your way through Hell is Us still manages to be enjoyable. A lack of hand-holding regularly provides a sense of achievement.

This DLC is so vastly inferior to the main game - abysmal writing, terrible mission design, bugs - I'm starting to wonder if it's Ubisoft's first release that used a significant amount of AI.

If you use GMail, AI (Gemini) was turned on yesterday by default and now scans all of your content for machine learning. To turn off, go to Settings>General and scroll down. Uncheck the box for "Smart features."

There's other "Smart" add-ons as well, but that's the one that reads your content.

You may be torn on the idea of engaging with something funded by the Saudi royal family, but I'm finding this Assassin's Creed Mirage DLC set in ancient Saudi Arabia very educational. It's giving me a crash course in how not to write a videogame.

I love my Steam Deck. But the fundamental fact that something called the Steam Deck is unable to run hundreds (thousands?) of games from Steam is, admit it, ridiculous.

Also worth mentioning that too many people are saying something along the lines of 'it's basically a console'. No it's not. Even *Valve* says it's not. Like the Steam Deck, it's going to be a PC in console cosplay. There will still be compatibility issues, crashes, questionable future proofing, etc.

Asked about a $500 Steam Machine, Valve apparently wasn't impressed: "The energy in the room wasn't great" The GabeCube might be "priced like a PC rather than like a console"

I feel like there's a huge gulf between the breathless commentary from analysts and executives around the Steam Machine, and the appetite the paying public have for it - especially if it's weighed down with a heavy price tag, as seems increasingly likely. www.gamesradar.com/hardware/ask...
