Mirror, mirror, on the wall,
Who grasps Phase Separation best of all?
Tis I, the ruler of this realm,
Where Intrinsic Disorder reigns and knowledge underwhelms.

My laboratory uses NMR spectroscopy to examine phase separation and interaction of proteins.
We study the molecular mechanisms of neurodegenerative diseases, in particular how RNA-binding proteins become dysfunctional in ALS and FTD, for example through aberrant phase separation and aggregation.
Our lab uses coacervate based materials to investigate protocells, synthetic cells, and biomolecular condensates.
