This is despite knowing that doing so violates their most deeply held principles.

However, it is the jeopardizing of our most deeply held principles which creates the true risk.

If we continue to reproduce, we destroy the earth and humans cease to exist. If we stop reproducing, humans cease to exist. We’re just prolonging the inevitable. Stop procreating.

Once you learn the basics, begin to become an expert in your firearms including field-stripping and more in-depth knowledge.

What can we do as individuals?

Protect yourself. Train. All people should look in to trainings like Stop the Bleed, Forestry First Aid, CPR/AED, and more.

We should also learn deescalation and how to see the warning signs of mental health episodes.

Not to excuse the act, rather to show the nuance. What can we do?

As a society: push mental healthcare, advocate for equality in pay, housing and housing solutions for all, community gardens and food shares, and giving a shit about the people around you.

Inequities in pay, housing inequality, food shortages/deserts, lack of mental health access, and so much more.

When somebody is pushed to the point of using a firearm to harm others, its from a point of desperation with a variety of factors leading up to the act.

While I understand the calls for gun control, guns are not the root of the problem. Guns are the tool used to annunciate the problem.

I'm not a doctor, nor do I want to be one, but I can definitively say that firearm violence is caused by a variety of issues including but not limited to...

Gun control? Control the gun.
