Staying off social media - not reading, watching, or engaging with anything related to FOTUS (already deactivated my Meta accounts). Watching some MLK day content in PBS (probably). Might sew and tidy my art/sewing space.

Shout out to the two late-teen girls who, on two separate days last week, complimented me on two different casual outfits. This 58-year old appreciated it so much! I’m thrilled young women are lifting other women up - including ones who aren’t their contemporaries. I need to do this more.

Me either. I curated my feed over there really well and was extremely happy with how the algorithm was working. But then he announced Meta’s no-fact-checking policy and his other rhetoric and beliefs sort of drained a lot of the fun out of it.

I broke my social media ‘diet’ to keep up on what’s going on in LA with the fires. Then Zuck publicly went full red pill & MAGA so while I’m still not posting, I am going back and forth between Threads and Bluesky to make sure I’m following everyone I love from over there. Wish me luck.

I assumed Loggins was the all powerful ruler of poppy theme songs for 80s movies. Caddyshack, Top Gun, Footloose, AND Vacation. Lindsay was channeling his inner Kenny Loggins that day for sure.

I just learned, and still haven’t really processed, that the song “Holiday Road” from National Lampoon’s Vacation was Lindsay Buckingham-NOT Kenny Loggins as I had assumed for 41 years. I feel like I’ve slipped through a crack in the universe into an alternate reality; which would explain a lot.

I *LOVE* my new vocabulary word. Thanks for that!

I’m still on my social media hiatus, but poked my head in to follow some folks back. Anyway, I’ll be back later on but I think I’ll be on SM a lot less in the coming months. ❤️
