It’s weird playing Gyeongseong creature and ghost of Tsushima at the same time because one portrays a very positive view of Japan and the other doesn’t. It’s also kinda funny because ghost of Tsushima is about resisting invasion of a foreign force and Gyeongseong creature Japan is the foreign force.

One thing I find adorable about Twelve is that Ma Dong Seok must have really liked the Eternals and somehow managed to convince someone to give him 13.8 million dollars so he could basically make the Korean eternals. I low key admire the chutzpah.

So watching full house right now kinda interesting because I just finished up the glory. Because wow Song Hye Kyo’s character really doesn’t hold onto a grudge. So far it is very old school in that the male lead is quite punchable not the worse so far but very punchable.

Shows of 2026. Watched the first series of Silo. I do like the epic scale of Apple TV shows. This was good. It just feels like epic sci fi where it just really digs into an idea and explores it.

So really liking Honor so far. One thing I found interesting is that the show asks you to google sexual assault lawyer and they say that most of them focus on defence from false charges. So I did that and yeah all of them focus on defending you from sexual assault charges.

Shows I watched in 2026 Xo Kitty series 2. This was fun. Absurd but fun. Bring on series 3.

So I’ve seen world of the married, abyss and soundtrack number 1 out of those three I guess she has the best chemistry with Park Hyung Sik but she’s no where near my fave pairing with Park Hyung Sik. But do I need to see her in nevertheless or my name to see a bit of sizzle.

So watching Gyeongseong creature and I was saying to my sister that I don’t think Park Seo Joon and Han So Hee have a lot of chemistry and my sister says I don’t think Han So ever has good chemistry with anyone. Is that fair? By the way neither me or my sister have seen nevertheless or my name.

Went to see stray kids dominate at the cinema. It was a lot of fun. Stays were cheering the JYP logo. Have to admit went to a few BTS concerts at the cinema and no one cheered the Hybe logo.

Yeah I had the same issue when I watched it. Hasn’t happened for any other show. Also had to watch the last moments on YouTube.

I like Park Hyung Sik and my sister.

So my sister has decided she wants to watch twelve. In all fairness I do hope I find something to like in it.

So yeah finally finished the glory and I did like it but now I’ve reached the end. Why was Lee Do Hyun here? Was it just to add a Cinderella element to a dark revenge story? There’s something very Kim Eun Sook to take a dark revenge story but to still make it Cinderella. But it’s just weird

Shows I watched in 2026. The glory. A bit late to the party on this one but I had fun with this one. I think if you think about the plot for more than two seconds it does fall apart but for me the ride was fun. Song Hye Kyo and Lim Ji Yeon were pretty great. Not sure why Lee Do Hyun had to be there

2 for me I think he’s fine. I watched him in start up, hometown cha cha cha and when life gives you tangerines. Wlgyt is probably my favourite of his roles. I thought he was a bit over shadowed in can this love be translated by Go Youn Jung who is amazing. But yeah it’s a like but not love from me.

Got to admit I do get a thrill watching a drama that’s not on an OTT platform. You don’t decide what I watch Netflix.

Watched the first episode of Honor. It had a lot more feminism than I expected. I did like how they kind made the point that a lot of women do hold up the patriarchy. I feel like a show pointing out how hard it is to be a sexual abuse victim is a good thing. We’ll see how well it does

Go to admit this looks like a fun pairing. Plus I feel like it’s been a while since we’ve seen Park Gyu Young in a romance.

I feel like this highlights something for me that means Trump legacy will outlive him. He has lowered the standards for every world leader that comes after him. There are plenty legitimate issues you can have with every other president but to put them in the same league as Trump is dangerous.

So yeah really liked the first half of Bridgerton it just hits the spot for me. I love the aesthetics, the romance, the drama. It’s just fun for me. This does seem to be one of the most straightforward adaptations which I was a little worried about but sometimes you just want a Cinderella story.

Shows I watched in 2026. Strange new worlds. So finally finished this one which means I can cancel paramount plus. I wish I liked this more than I do. I think an issue is a lot of my Star Trek nostalgia is based in voyager and tng so lower decks and prodigy hits better for me.

I did love alchemy of souls. I do still have a soft spot for the Hong Sisters though hoping Grand Galaxy hotel will be better.

The cycle. I think maybe that is what the Hong sisters were going for. The family thinks Cha Mu Hee is doomed due to her genes and they’re shown to be wrong throughout the course of the show. We see her recover and realise she is worthy of love and her family is wrong. But they botched it.

I think there could have been an interesting sub plot here of like a Cinderella who just couldn’t crack it and was just consumed by her own mental health struggles and the lack of ability or inclination of her in laws to find her the help she needed then contrasting that with Cha Mu Hee breaking

Cha Mu Hee had misremembered what happened and her mum never attempted to kill anyone but was just someone who had mental health difficulties that were exacerbated by her crappy in laws and I guess husband. But the solution they came up with doesn’t really lessen Cha Mu He’s trauma.

Yeah I’m amazed this wasn’t spoilt for me. I discussed this on threads and I feel like they didn’t want the trauma of her mum being a murderer hanging over her at the end. I did think there was going to be a twist there and it turned out that her mum was committed by her family and

The only kdrama I can think of that focuses on female sports. Is weightlifting fairy Kim Bok Joo but I don’t think it did well in Korea so I guess that’s why there aren’t more which is a shame because I love it.

Shows I watched in 2026 Can this love be translated? So I think this will end up being like doom at your service it will have people go to bat for it and people who will look at those people with confused looks on their faces. On the whole I enjoyed it but I do wish the plot was tighter.

So finally finished can this love be translated and even though I did like it, I didn’t love it as much as I wanted to and fundamentally for a show that clearly has a lot of ambition it can be very lazy in terms of plot mechanics but Go Youn Jung was amazing and it’s is nice to see Kim Seon Ho back.
