I think anyway. I don't know - the partner's kid sucks at games (he's 8). He was fine at Kirby but also didn't find it interesting. Very much an "i-pad kid" when it comes to gaming.

As in, he'd never play Gradius without the Konami code - he wants to just win...

SMB is very clear with what to do and how things work - it builds good button/motor skills.

I find kids tend to be bad at games not because of "skill" - like they know what to do and how to do it but they have a pause to think about what needs pressing etc and thus, well - die or crash etc.

They often go on stupidly deep sales, so you might want to just grab whatever is dirt cheap.

I'm not a massive Lego games fan, but the Jurassic World one was better than expected - though being a huge fan of the franchise no doubt helped.

I don't know but I'll take 2.

Either don't list it and it be a nice surprise, or have a full co-op mode from the start where someone who hasn't played before isn't thrown straight into it.

Or... just, you know, have the whole thing be co-op given the art, screenshots and title gives very strong co-op vibes.

No in-game option is dumb. I'm sure even Demon Soul's had that?

I've never known a game that put you online without you having a choice about it, heck even online focused games like MH: Wilds gives you choice before starting up and allows you to freely switch between during.

So to enjoy this co-op - you're going to need to find a friend who has played a good chunk of the game, as I can't imagine going into challenge mode cold turkey is going to go great.

What a strange decision.

Just have the co-op mode unlocked from the start and be a full mode.

Store listing says 1-2 Players. To me (and the title being sonS of Sparta) that would suggest the game being 2 player.

But alas, the co-op mode is a challenge mode you unlock after completing the main game. And is local only.

I would say I don't understand why people invest time in playing games they don't enjoy.

But I also spent like a month one year watching through every Friday 13th film. And there's 12 of them, and only 2 I would consider good (with another 2 being okay) so... yeah...

Lego Jurassic World - one of the better Lego games. Goes through the first 4 films (Park, Lost World, III & World).

When they did the classic "shoot her!" line it brought a smile to my face.
