Thanks! This is currently my best work. It took FOREVER! I have to say if I was younger and my house wasn't already filled with my mom's artwork, I would buy every one of your sketch of the days.
My mom's medium was watercolor and sumi-e so your work resonates.

My latest project. Maple burl set of nested bowls. Stained to make the grain pop.

I don't draw or paint but I make art from wood. Kind of hard for an AI to operate a lathe (at least for now, thankfully)

Seamus tried to help me with video editing this week. He was jealous of my little ceramic tiger. Then got sleepy.

Exactly. Then high school English teachers spend weeks explaining. It's like having someone explain a joke, exhausting.

I taught physics and math for 24 years, and I had a deal with my students:
1. Earn BS in stem=i buy then a drink
2. MS, I buy dinner.
3. PhD, they buy ME dinner (cuz their probably richer and smarter)

I've had quite a few claim their reward over the years and love it.

I was in New zealand this spring for the first time and almost immediately started looking at real estate. I even started looking up immigration procedures when I got home🤣

I was a high school math and physics teacher for twenty four years. I would often give book recommendations to my kids. Accelerando was always one that was mandatory. I don't think people understand how prescient that book was.

I just re read the Book of the New Sun recently. A youtube reviewer said it was one of the best of all time. I remember the first time I read it in my early teens. Decades ago, it was extremely confusing. After re-reading it, I think I got it now. Maybe. But it's still extremely confusing.
