Based on your data and research who is the most likely successful QB in this draft? Or put another way, which QB would you take if you are the Raiders (pretending you can’t trade back, which usually seems to be the best option).

Thank you for the thoughtful replies. I agree, that this seems to be the best argument. They didn’t get high grades for the exact reason you said. I’m not big on Fernando, I just viewed this as a good piece of information, but not the end all be all as you pointed out in a different post.

I wasn’t suggesting that there was no benefit to the metric. Rather, it’s not as simple as you are on this list and you are bad, so absolutely don’t draft Fernando. I also think there are several other first rounders not on the list that have not worked out, so how do you filter out those players.

Very few of those players were supposed to be “good” on that list. Put average draft position next to those and it would be much more interesting. Also, what about all the “busts” not on that list. Leaf, Russell, Lance. I’m not sure that metric is that helpful.
