Two lit up statues of white mountain goats. One sits in the grass and the other stands on a blue and white rock. There are crystal-like shards of blue, white and purple in the background along with a tree wrapped in green lights.

At a time when we incessantly demand that knowledge be immediately useful to be considered valuable, curiosity becomes a quietly subversive way of being in the world

Just yesterday I was describing Bunnicula to a friend and they were convinced I made it up! Glad to see it getting a shoutout here

I've heard there was green eggs and ham
served by a man named Sam I Am
but you don't really care for new things, do you?

Well, it goes like this: the goat, the boat,
the cardboard box, and the clever fox,
the dogged Sam asking would you, could you?

There are no boring people in this world.
Each fate is like the history of a planet.
And no two planets are alike at all.
Each is distinct – you simply can’t compare it.
If someone lived without attracting notice
and made a friend of their obscurity –
then their uniqueness was precisely this.
Their very plainness made them interesting.
Each person has a world that’s all their own.
Each of those worlds must have its finest moment
and each must have its hour of bitter torment –
and yet, to us, both hours remain unknown.
When people die, they do not die alone.
They die along with their first kiss, first combat.
They take away their first day in the snow …
All gone, all gone – there’s just no way to stop it.

The best writing partner, except when she hogs my chair.
