Using pirated software as a studio opens businesses up to huge litigations and million dollar lawsuits. Meta data can be leaked and people yap, so it's a huge risk, especially for small studios. "We're using Animate" after the cut-off and you're sued. They won't do it and for good reasons.

The amount of AI art I've seen on my discover page is disappointing 🫠

Using AI is a betrayal not only to your players, but every member of your studio, artists everywhere, the ecosystem, and art as a concept. Fix your business, issue an apology , and hand the reigns back to actual artists before you lose every scrap of appreciation people once had for you.

This kind of attitude always spikes during conservative waves, it's like they just got off the Mayflower. You know they've got kinks they've buried because they scare them, and the only way to alleviate that guilt is to point fingers at other people. They're literally yelling at a mirror.

I've decided this year is the year of me posting my WIP fics. I've got 300k worth in DARE, Silent Hill AU (1 & 2), CyMuds, and Phase 7. They have to see the light of day this year or I'll start chewing the baseboards.

There's several factors for this beyond laziness, such as: time crunch (forced to use stock), producers forcing decisions, budget, and industry standards (i.e. new sound designers being told to do it this way and not to deviate). Corporate Hollywood enforces its "brand" ruthlessly, and it does suck
