8.
However, when a nun who HAD A DREAM gives you a charm you cannot EVER throw it away because it's is absolutely definitely 100% cursed or blessed or something.
And so it is still in my jewellery box, still looking absolutely brand new and untarnished almost 30 years later...... π©Άπ³
7.
And then that's it. Long story short, she doesn't get the house.
I think they let a business use it for some years, and now apparently it's being done up to be used as a holiday let.
6.
The nun goes in every room of the house and prays. She leaves a small silver charm in each room to leave her mark so that she might return. Some are under wooden panels, down the side of window frames or inside fireplaces.
She gives me a charm too, in hope I will help her get the house.
5.
And so I, the trainee, am sent to meet a nun WHO HAD A DREAM and show that nun around the most sinister house imaginable. No power, musty, cold and very, very dark. Every floorboard and door creaks like a horror movie cliche.
The nun loves the house. IT IS JUST LIKE IT WAS IN HER DREAM.... π
4.
Then out of the blue, a nun contacts the council.
She says she experienced a dream in which she lived in this house.
A NUN HAD A DREAM π³
3.
There are loads of people waiting for houses, but this one - no functioning kitchen, bare wooden floors, original 16th century winding stairs, no ceiling lights or heating - is unlikely to be what they need. The council must think carefully about who could take care of a unique place like this.
2.
It's been occupied for years by someone who has taken the role of guardian, keeping safe a building of national historic significance. However the house becomes empty.
No-one is sure what to do with a house like this.
The 16th century half timbered house known as The Wonky House
Creepy storytime.....
It's the mid-1990s and I'm a trainee working at the Council. This house, known as 'The Wonky House', is said by my colleagues to be England's oldest council house. π§΅
