Dear gods above, below and in hidden places, could we please not ruin a perfectly good Nobel Peace Prize delivery with the ego of a very small man? To the deserving winner may the prize be proud of your contribution in the name of peace.

Just did something I didn’t think I could do: replaced the faucet on our tub with a new one. I think this one looks much nicer than the old one (note: this is not for vanity, the old one had issues, and I just got tired of dealing with the issues).

Already done! But it’s worth it. :)

Answers were had. I’m so happy my surgery happened. And it’s all good to know why things happened the way it did. But I’m so happy and so glad for a life without that horrible pain.

The best advice one could give anyone with a parter: have your own blankets… there’s no fighting over the blankets that way. I apparently take all the blankets and we instated this rule so now I have my own, my partner has their own and we’re happier that way.

My couch sheets came yesterday. Okay, so I bought a bed in a bag so I could get the extra pillow case and pillow sham, but these are couch sheets and the comforter and pillow cases are for the actual bed. And look how cute the comforter is!

Today is my 6 week follow up from surgery (though technically it’s 7 weeks tomorrow). I am so grateful I had this surgery. My dysphoria, my pain and my anxiety are way down.

I keep having reactions to weird things. Today? Futurama.. I gagged at the episode. It was not good.

I love Futurama but these last two episodes had me gagging…

I got “tries hard, too sensitive, easily distracted” for years. Also got “not paying attention” was fun when I was still undiagnosed with hearing loss.

This week is mercifully short. Busy, but short. I have my post op appointment, upon which I hope to get clearance to go and take baths again (I hate showers, especially when there is a wait between cold and warm water and you get that cold spray *shudder*). Also, so many questions to ask!

Had a good visit with friends today. Got to learn a new game. However, I’ve been feeling nauseous all evening so now I’m waiting for the Gravol to set in.

Sheets have been ordered! I’m excited, but also really giddy because the whole look is going to bring me so much comfort.

And now to get ready for company… lots of things to be done.

I am so excited to order new sheets. It seems weird, but I’m just super happy this is going to happen.

One vaccine in each arm, and I’m tired. A small price to pay so I can continue to go to school and achieve all of my personal goals.

That nap though was nice.

Time to go and get our annual vaccine schedule. I don’t have the bandwidth to be sick at this point…

Bimonthly shop done. Pickles were bought. Chapters visited. Cat is now demanding cuddles. Exhaustion is imminent.

Vaccines booked for us. I don’t have the time to get sick, I have exams coming up.

The words out of my mouth are not safe for print.

Had a very disappointing pickle experience today. They were not for me, and I accept that. But I’m still disappointed.

6 weeks post surgery. 5 weeks post agonizing pain and now well over a year since I’ve last wanted to self delete from this world. Milestones I never thought I’d see even last year.

Decided this year that my closest friends get plushies and home made blankets. Others will get something homemade (like cookies or an art piece) and something comforting.

We’re going to need all the comforting items we can… my body cannot contain this disappointment in the world political sphere.

So last night, I wanted to some minor tidying, which was to clean the counter and then put some stuff away. Well, one of the things I had to put away was the salt into my spice cupboard. This knocked out the jar of thyme. I literally saw Thyme fly, but none was wasted…

The joy of finding more information about different cryptids, I tell you… pure bliss.

My dad worked out of that building for a while.

I can no longer scroll. I’m going to crochet this blanket while watching Passions. I can handle this make believe world, barely.

One of the coolest cryptids, and one of my favourites (I actually do have a tattoo on my back of this one) is the Jackalope. I found out yesterday that the Jackalope as a German cousin known as the Wolpertinger. Not only does this one have horns it also has wings.

With the amount of stress I’ve been feeling because of the way the world is, I’ve taken to pursuing some of my more weird interest: cryptids. It’s time for a deep dive…
