And this is why you should NOT be demanding that unions remain "neutral" on divisive or political questions. Your CAUT motion is playing into the hands of those who will silence faculty if they can, including this current excuse for a Board of Governors.

Withdraw your motion!

Cartmell calls for audit of Edmonton election results after wide variation in ward race’s recount The runner-up for mayor in Monday’s municipal election says he would like an audit of the results after a discrepancy was found in a recount of ballots in one ward’s race.

Just spitballing here: What if we could get machines that reliably register votes as soon as the ballots are filled out? With hard copies preserved in case of dispute?

UCP, look into it for next time?

Kind of common sense, which UCP lacks.

“If five per cent of Albertans are deterred (by the $100 vaccine fee), that ends up costing all of us taxpayers a significant amount of money. By our estimates, it would exceed $65 million just on hospital costs,”

Canadian governments should regulate AI, 85% of Canadians say: poll - National | Globalnews.ca AI is being used by more and more Canadians, but while many say they're comfortable using it, a majority say governments need to regulate it for safety.

Canadians are not divided by “AI”, as Forbes claims. Once again, the Canadian public is united, correct, and ahead of the Carney government:

According to a new poll by Leger, 85% of Canadians want government regulation for “AI”, not its rapid acceleration with weak laws that don’t get enforced.

Well, voting took about an hour longer than normal and instead of learning the results tonight we won’t have any idea who won until late tomorrow — but at least it cost us an extra $1.3 million!

And all to combat voter fraud that categorically does not exist.

Great new system, thanks UCP. #abpoli

if you're in Alberta and you want your flu and covid shot in 2026 - yes you read that correctly - you have to preorder them right now. So here's the link. go do that. Just in case none of those people get removed from power by then.

please repost this, as the province seems bent on killing us.

🚨 This is inexplicable news to share. If in Alberta and you want flu and covid shots for NEXT year (2026-2027), you have only until December 15 of THIS year to order them.

This is not incompetence. It’s a deliberate choice to prevent as many people ..
