My favorite thing about discovering the frat guy sports league charms of World Chase Tagβ€”the sport is sponsored by Zaxby’s!

I feel like, as far as LETHAL WEAPON-sploitation goes, CURRY AND PEPPER is more worth my time than the more recent WRECKING CREW, but I guess I'll see that at some point, too.

Thanks! That commentary was recorded for the previous release and got rolled over. Which is nice since that doesn’t always happen with special features (ex: new GREAT SILENCE Blu doesn’t have my old liner notes essay).

THE LASER MAN features, among other things, a loft in (or simply with an exterior of) Anthology Film Archives that seems to be a parody of the one from Beineix’s DIVA??

A β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜… review of Brazil (1985) When I was 13, this was the film that made me want to Get Serious about watching films. "Brazil" means even more to me now that I know a little bit about creator Terry Gilliam, and his relationship wi...

Iβ€˜m convinced that this movie’s traumatizing finale still lingers in many viewersβ€˜ minds because we all know that Sam Lowry is a coward and doesn’t really deserve happiness. I wrote a little about that here:

Speaking of Peter Wang, THE LASER MAN stars his CHAN IS MISSING co-star Marc Hayashi.

Omg, it’s amazing. I was lucky enough to see the first half or so at the Spectacle Theater here in Brooklyn and it knocked me on my ass. Some of Ashley’s collaborators were in attendance, too. It was very special.

There was a very pleasant mixup and I got a copy of DELUGE (1933) despite not having contributed anything to that release. Still, a new Richard Harland Smith audio commentary?? Even better!
