I learned some stuff about Bluesky I did not know by reading this.

Newskies:

When you use a red push pin emoji as a bookmark (see how below), add a few words about what you’re bookmarking.

Otherwise you’ll go to your bookmark feed, see a bunch of pins, and have no idea what content they’re related to without clicking through. (Learned this the hard way, lol.)

As I understand them, people create lists of likeminded folks (immigration lawyers, WWE fans, IVF vets). You can follow all, all at once, to get your feed going. (I’m not 100% on how to create one yourself)

Shout out to those who keep sharing info on how the site works, how to pin things, remove your post when someone quotes it (if ya want), etc. Not everyone is as tech savvy as the next. Sometimes screw ups are just that - pure ignorance.

I’ve absolutely nothing to add to the conversation at this point. Just happy to be at the party. Tiny dot behind enemy lines trying to save what’s left of my sanity. Treating this place like Radio Free Europe - just relieved to know I’m not alone.
