That's true, but Toronto had the 5th highest payroll. Not exactly the bottom of the barrel, and they could easily have won. I think chirping about money in a rich man's game (ownership) does take something away from the Dodgers. If it were only money, the Jays would have been playing the Mets

OK, I will say what I want: 1. There’s no “luxury tax” in MLB. It’s “revenue sharing,” which means other teams will get a check, to spend or not on salaries. Many don’t. 2.Toronto is in the top 5 in MLB payroll. Hardly paupers and not half of L.A.’s. 3. Toronto isn’t a “small market” by any stretch
