This also helps to explain why the Boomer generation gets so upset when Millennials try to explain how much harder life has gotten compared to our parents's generation. It's not that our parents didn't also struggle, but they were given more darts, and purchasing new ones was much cheaper.

This helps explain how rich kids/nepo babies get offended when they are told they didn't earn their spot. It's not that they're delusional, they did throw the darts. They're just oblivious of the other factors...how many extra throws they got, how much closer to dart board they stood, etc.
